Daufuskie Island SC Golf

A small sea island between Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head SC, Daufuskie Island accommodates a resort and a private residential community. The island itself is split into 5 different segments. The Haig Point Club is a private residential club with 150 year round residents. The Daufuskie Resort and Breathe Spa is located south of Haig Point and used to be a private golf and tennis Daufuskie Island Vacation club. Now a public resort, it offers some spectacular Daufuskie Island SC Golf.

Primarily unincorporated land, an array of residences dot this section of the island including Golf and Waterfront Homes South Carolina. Often referred to as the Historic District, visitors can take boat tours of this area, with attractions including the Bloody Point Lighthouse, the school where Pat Conroy taught, and local artisan workshops.

Daufuskie Island SC Golf features three South Carolina Golf Courses - the Bloody Point Golf Course, the Melrose Golf Course, and the Haig Point Signature Course. Bloody Point is a parkland style course, with minimal signage, housing, or cart paths, and it has a 132 slope. The Melrose Golf Course faces the Atlantic Ocean and is significantly more difficult than Bloody Point. Water or wetland hazards front over half the holes, but the conclusion of the course affords stunning low country views. The Calibogue Course at Haig Point is noted as the masterpiece of Daufuskie Island SC Golf. It provides magnificent backdrops and challenging courses, and should be a must see on your Daufuskie Island Vacation.
